50s Vintage Eve Stillman Black Chiffon Boudoir Bralette
Eve Stillman was a well respected lingerie entrepreneur in the 1940s and 50s, known for her upscale designs and high quality hand embroidered detailing, executed at the company's factory in the NYC garment district. This gorgeous nylon chiffon bralette embodies the elegance of her designs, and when Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier there are accounts indicating some of her trousseau pieces were created by the seamstresses at Eve Stillman. Darted chiffon cups are lined with a layer of opaque nylon and trimmed with embroidered lace. Sheer double chiffon panels are gathered and inserted at the side seam creating a dramatic bow when tied at center back. This sophisticated and elegant authentic vintage 1950s boudoir bralette is in mint condition with the original paper tag attached, noting size 32. The garment has some flexibility in sizing and would fit 32D as shown, 30DD, 32DD, 34B/C/D and 36A/B. Cloth label reads Eve Stillman by Gracette, dating this piece as pre 1956.
