A very unusual peignoir from the 30s, this one is has more structure but is certainly not short on glamour! With extensive sutache trim detail covering the massive full puffed sleeves and collar, plus a long row of covered buttons down the bodice front to the waist. This satin dressing gown is a silk and rayon blend, and is a heavy slipper satin. There are darts at the shoulder and waist for a close fit at the bust. The skirt portion features a wrap style closure for coverage in the front but still allows for movement and flow. The wide belt is attached at each side of the back waist and wraps around to tie in front. A stunning and unique vintage 30s dressing gown, cloth tag reads Brucewood, Maurice Rothschild. Bust measures 34 flat, and fits a 34 nicely with ease remaining as shown. Waist is 28, shoulder 14. Excellent condition. Fits a classic medium best.
