This vintage 30s evening gown is absolutely stunning. Canary yellow silk gauze is bias cut to beautifully caress the body's every curve. Incredibly fine and sheer this piece exudes classic glamor and elegance. Gown has doubled self fabric rolled straps with sewn in strap holders to attach to when an opaque slip is worn beneath. Originally intended as evening wear, and probably too delicate for nightwear. Gown has a tailored fit with a pleated and peaked empire waist and scooped back, complemented by the flowing skirt with a sweep of 160 inches. Closes with a five and a half inch seam opening, with six snaps at the left waist. Belt loops are present but original belt is long lost. Measures 46 inches from top of side seam to hem. Bias cut bodice stretches to 36, under bust maximum stretch 28, waist up to 30, hip is free. Gown fits XS size 0 or 2 only. As shown on our size 4 model the side snaps were not fully closed at the rib cage. A narrow rib is a must for fitting this dress. Bust size up to 34 is fine, underbust of 26-28 max for best fit.
