50s Vintage Bubble Hem Princess Nightgown

A vintage 50s full length nightgown for the pin-up princess. Dusty rose nylon chiffon is temptingly sheer and a unique shade for lingerie of the era. V neck bodice is double layered, cups are constructed with simple darts along the inner layer with the top layer gathered at the center adding fullness to a smaller bust. Cups are framed by a scalloped ivory lace at the front and continuing around the back v bodice. Fitted waist fastens in back with a corded chiffon tie and opens to a full skirt fashioned from two layers of chiffon for depth and drape. The hemline is most unique with bubble seaming attaching the inner and outer later for incredible fullness and sweep. Measures 34 at the bust, 28 waist and 44 in length along the side seam, fitting a size 34 small as shown or a 32/XS as tagged. Original tag reads, "Gotham Gold Stripe, 32." Garment is in excellent condition without flaws, and has minimal signs of wear.
