Vintage 50s double chiffon nightgown in buttercup yellow is made of two layers of 15 denier nylon tricot. The fabric has a whimsical pattern of doves carrying a bouquet of flowers printed on it in pastel pink and green colors. The bust is slightly gathered with a moderate scoop neckline, finished with double self fabric spaghetti straps. A thin piping runs along the neckline, under the bust, at the waist and hips which are all slightly gathered for a flirty shape. This versatile piece can be worn either tied with a ribbon at the waist or left flowing. Tiered and classic ballet length. Bust is 36 to 38 inches max, waist is 34 to 38 max, hip is 46 to 48 max, hem length from side armhole 36.5. The nightgown is in excellent condition, a single pea sized hole in the top panel, obscured by the second chiffon layer beneath. Cloth tag, Trillium, 36, Nylon. Best fits 36 medium.
