This gorgeous black peignoir and gown ensemble is a rare vamp set. Full length nightgown is made from a super slinky black woven nylon chiffon with a shadow polka dot pattern. Striking v neckline is trimmed with black lace that extends into the straps, and features a lace insert at the center with simple cups defined by gathering under the bust. Fitted waist is fashioned from a lace insert with gathering along the sides, ties in the rear and opens to a sheer bias cut full skirt. The matching peignoir is a long sleeved design with classic vintage styling and a beautiful shape. Plunge neckline is edged with black lace along the front and reinforced at the back. Fitted waist is constructed with a lace insert at the rear and a lace framed front panel front that secures with four black rosette style buttons at the center. Full skirt is bias cut for a fit that drapes beautifully. Elegant long sleeves have slight puff and gathered shoulders that lend a classic structured shape, while the elegant lace cuffs have buttons matching those at the center. Attention to detail is revealed in the French seams and hand rolled and stitched bottom hems. Fits 34 small as shown, or 36 medium as intended. Gown measures 38 at the bust, waist 32, hips free, 45 in length along the side seam. Peignoir measures 40 at the bust, 30 waist, 14 1/2shoulders, 54 from back of neck to bottom hem fitting a size 36/Medium. Original tag reads, "Twynsette." Garment is in very good to excellent condition, showing minimal wear, and a few deftly mended small repairs.
