30s Vintage Dashing Deb Princess Buttercup Nightgown

This vintage new old stock 30s nightgown couldn't be more frilly or flouncy. The buttercup yellow rayon satin confection is fashioned with an ornate bodice designed with an ecru lace insert collar, delicate lace ruffles along the scoop neckline, mini-puff cap sleeves and smocked accents creating a gathered bustline. A unique underbust ruffle constructed from square pieces set in with triangle lace inserts creates a princess worthy flounce. Yellow and blue rosettes adorn the neckline and ruffle, topping off the piece with girlish charm. The silky soft bias skirt drapes elegantly to the floor and was hemmed by hand. Style secures in the rear with silk ribbons below the deep V back. Tags read, "dashing deb, 34." Measures 40 at the bust, 32 waist untied, hips 50, 49 in length down the side seam, fitting a size S/34 as tagged and shown, or up to a M/36. Gown is in mint new old stock condition and maintains the original paper tags.
