30s Vintage Original Macy's Bias Silk Nightgown

This vintage nightgown comes to us from the lingerie department of the very first Macy's in New York. Fashioned from creamy pale peach silk the gown is feather light and deliciously soft. The square scoop necked bodice is designed with an elegant lace collar and gathered underbust. Unique embroidered details extend from a floral accent at the front center out and over the straps, framing your shoulders with its alluring design. The gown's inverted peak waist ties in the back for a fitted and flattering shape. Floor length bias skirt lends glamorous drape to the design. Hand stitched French seams and hem reveal the garment's couture quality. Original tag reads, "R.H. Macy's & Co, Inc New York." Measures 36 at the bust, waist 30, hips 50, 42 in length along the side seam fitting a size S/34 as shown. Garment is in excellent condition with skilled repairs to the seams, a reinforcement in the silk underneath the right arm and a small break in the lace near the seam on the front.
