Vanity Fair's so called "Conversation Pieces," produced as part of a luxury collection designed for wealthy American women in the 50s with extravagant tastes. The unique cross over bust has lace patterned gold lame cups underneath gathered cups of wispy black mesh. A stunning gold lame trim wraps around the scoop back and under the bust tying in the front with a bow at the center front. Gown is fashioned from pale peach nylon covered with an translucent layer of black tricot creating exquisite shadow effects. Full skirt opens up with wide godets and has a fantastic sweep.
