This original 1946 Colura design is an unusual collector's item. The two piece set is fashioned from an ivory and red pin stripe
rayon that is light and crisp. The bandeau top is wider in the front with gathering along the elastic both over and under the bust. Fully adjustable spaghetti straps loop through a buttonhole eye at the back, crossing over the shoulders and then through two eyes at the front, there to be tied in a bow or tucked into the
bra. Full cut briefs are lightly gathered at the crotch and have an ivory elastic waist band and leg holes. Garment is in mint condition, it has never been worn and maintains its original tags. Butterfly paper tag reads, "Colura, feminine fashions" and has June 1946 stamped on the back. Cloth tags read "Colura size 6/38." Bust measures 32 lying flat with a max stretch of 40, waist 26-34 and hips 40-44. The set is designed to fit with a moderate amount of ease, and is equivalent to a modern size large.
