This beautiful hooded jacket from the 30s is a very unusual piece. Shimmery
silk velvet has an elegant floral burnout design and is incredibly soft and light. Long sleeved style has shirred shoulder seams, with light gathering and tiny shoulder pat at they armseye for fullness and shape. Sleeve is cut to flow with a dramatic sweep. Deep hood is lined with a
silk chiffon and designed to drape loosely at the shoulder for a most romantic look. Jacket secures in the front with three snaps hidden under diamond shaped, carved mother of pearl buttons. All edges are reinforced with a
silk satin ribbon facing. Original tag reads, "Fine Lingerie, The May Co. Los Angeles." Fits 34 small as shown, and up to 38 bust depending on your shoulder width. Measures 15 along the shoulder, 42 bust, 18 in length from the back neck to bottom hem. Garment is in excellent shape, velvet is in pristine condition without abrasions, slight darkening of the fabric at the underarm seam being the only flaw visible upon close inspection.
