A rare set indeed! New old stock matching half slip and lacy panties are delectable in feather light, semi sheer nylon. Made by Glydons, this nylon has the feel of early Vanity Fair. Most nylon tricot of the day was milled by VF and sold to other major manufacturers include Van Raalte, and many other notable brands of the era, and we believe this nylon to be one of the most sought after and collectible fabrics created by the VF mills. Mint condition panties and slip start with a layer of incredibly silky smooth nylon tricot, the slip is topped with a full layer of black floral lace and is detailed with a small slit at the lower left side. The inner layer of nylon is trimmed in a narrow band of coordinating lace.
The pantie is a work of art! Full cut brief is semi sheer, styled with black lace cut in unique peaked designs and placed over each leg hole. What is most unusual about this style is that in most decorated vintage panties you will find either the front or the back adorned, but rarely both sides! The theme is continued here around to the back side, with more black lace in a peak cut topping the leg hole over the derriere. Finally, there is a peek-a-boo opening over the center front of each leg, topped with a satin ribbon embroidered floral applique. Double nylon gusset and lace trimmed leg holes complete this ultra feminine design that is glamorous and flirty without a hint of childishness about it. A unique and rare find for the avid collector.
