This sexy lattice panel girdle provides great tummy and hip support. Yet another precursor to the 1359 Shapette, this one playing with the idea of elastic shape bands. The firm elastic lattice pattern criss-crosses the front panel in a double diamond design and rings around derriere in the Rago trademark bulls eye concentric circles, creating a flattering shape and an eye-popping look. Elastic waist has demi bone side to prevent bulging and buckling and an eight inch metal zipper that closes over hidden hook and eye internal panel. Hem has six metal garters, the front two covered with ivory satin ribbons. Girdle has slight storage flaws including small circles the size of a pencil eraser. These are caused by the process used to affix the shape bands to the girdle. A glue is first applied before sewing the elastic down, the fabric touched by the glue darkens slightly over time. These dots are extremely faint, nonetheless they are present and seen on close inspection. Waist stretches from 23 to 30 max, hip stretches from 30 to 40 max. Fits 24-28 waist and up to a 38 hip as shown in photo. This girdle has a very high degree of compression and control. This dead stock girdle from Rago of New York had its cloth tag cut by the original owners when the company was sold and stock liquidated.
